As the Vice President (VP) of Marketing, your mission is to define the strategy and lead the teams responsible for growing Katalon’s customer base and nurturing its community. We are looking for candidates with experience across Brand, Product Marketing, and Demand Generation, with deep experience leading and scaling Marketing strategy and operations inside a product-led environment. We believe this role is instrumental to championing our customer-centric culture, so experience with and enthusiasm for technical audiences is essential.
As the Head of the Marketing function, you’ll be responsible for leading the team, defining strategy, driving program management and operations, and establishing performance targets. Your ability to balance long-term vision with a sense of urgency, and performance with pragmatism, will be essential to scaling our team and programs through multiple stages of evolution as we grow our customer base, launch new products, and expand into new markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead our Marketing strategy, program management, and operations, and establish performance KPIs spanning awareness, acquisition, growth, and engagement.
- Lead, grow, and mentor our Marketing team. Develop leaders and a team culture that inspires.
- Define and refine strategies and tactics uniquely suited to our varied growth channels: free product usage, self-service paid products, traditional enterprise sales, and a partner channel.
- Establish campaign structure, and manage performance and operations across paid acquisition, community engagement, website conversion, trial success, and lead identification.
- Collaborate deeply with Product and Growth teams to drive performance and customer experiences across the full customer journey, especially for our free and paid self-service products. - Help us build and operate the flywheel.
- Collaborate deeply with Sales and Customer Success to identify and engage customers that can benefit from more traditional enterprise sales engagements.
- Develop cross-team communications and processes to ensure optimal program management and campaign execution.
- Drive focus and prioritization across a huge and constantly shifting field of opportunities. Drive clarity of purpose, pragmatism, and sustainability in our approach.

- Deep experience with, and genuine enthusiasm for marketing to technical audiences. You understand the saas technology buyer from devs and technologists up to the c-suite.
- Experience operating inside a product-lead-growth strategy is absolutely essential, but experience collaborating with sales is also nice to have.
- Ability to work productively in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment.
- Proven leadership experience managing and evolving a team through various stages of scale.
- Proven experience applying a mix of people, processes, and technology to scale operations and improve performance.
- Experience vetting and hiring agencies and contractors across various marketing functions.
- Comfort working with data. You know how to get the data you need, how to analyze it, and how to incorporate it into strategy generation and performance management.
- You are a trusted partner. You’re curious about the roles and expertise of others, and other team members readily turn to you for your knowledge and perspective. People want to collaborate with you and trust both your open mind and critical thinking.
